Our Bar

Our bar is a warming, relaxing and intimate atmosphere. Enjoy our selection of carefully picked wines, not to mention the lengths we went to personally to taste all the beers in the whole of The Lake District and bring you our choice local cask ales and craft beers so you can immerse yourself in the craftsmanship the Lake District has to offer.

We like to keep our suppliers local and that includes family owned Tirrils brewery who produce our carefully chosen bar selection, brewers of traditional ales since 1999, they are one of Cumbria's longest established breweries.

We’ve been truly inspired with their gin collection and the ethos and belief in the authenticity of their products. Hand-picked or home-grown Cumbrian botanicals are added to the neutral spirit to flavour their authentic hedgerow gin collection, juniper berries, sloe, blackberries, elderflower, honey and myrtle to name a few. To preserve the flavour of the fruit syrups, they are only lightly strained, leaving both fruits and favours in the gins for that unique flavour, take your pick from Scafell Wild Botanical, Wild Blackberry and lastly Elderflower and Lakeland Honey

Our Lounge and Snug Room

Here to meet like-minded people or here to relax and quietly take in the atmosphere, we think we’ve created the right space. Some new and some refurbished furniture, in the lounge by the fire or in the snug reading a book. Listen to the days adventure stories being shared or play a board game or cards with friends. If you’re comfortable at your dinner table you can stay there to drink and finish off your evening.
