Booking Terms & Conditions
The booking conditions set out here apply to all reservations at the Royal Oak Hotel, regardless of the channel through which they were made and are deemed to have been made upon confirmation of your reservation.
Cancellation – Our standard cancellation policy is set out below:
For bookings cancelled a minimum of 14 days prior to arrival, a charge of 50% of the total booking value will apply.
For bookings cancelled within 7 days, but more than 48hrs, prior to arrival, a charge of 75% of the total booking value will apply.
For bookings cancelled 48hrs or less prior to arrival, the full charge of the booking value will apply.
In the event of cancellation, any deposits already received, will be factored into the charges applies. Any booking listed as non-refundable and/or non-transferable will remain as such with full payment being taken at the time of booking. All guests are advised to arrange suitable insurance to cover costs in the event of unforeseen circumstances and cancellations.
Payment of accounts – Please be advised that a valid credit/debit card must be provided at the time of booking to secure your reservation. No charges will be made prior to arrival unless you are booking a non-refundable rate in which case the full charge will apply. Our currently accepted payment methods include cash, Visa and Mastercard. We will also accept payments via bank transfer and ask that you contact us in advance for the relevant details. We do not accept company or personal cheques. Company credit facilities can be organised on request. Guest credit facilities are only available upon the presentation at reception of a valid credit/ debit card when checking in. No reduction is made for temporary absence, meals not taken, nor for premature departure for any reason.
Agent Bookings – For reservations made through an agent, we require full payment prior to arrival.
Room requests – The hotel will do our utmost to honour any requests relating to room type, number, location and facilities, but are unable to guarantee that requests can be met.
Non-Smoking Policy – The hotel is strictly non-smoking, this includes all internal and external areas of the hotel. If any evidence of smoking is found following your stay, we reserve the right to levy a deep cleaning charge of £150 which will be deducted from the card details provided at the time of booking.
Check-in and check-out – Rooms are available from 3pm and we ask that rooms are vacated by 11am. We may be able to facilitate early arrivals/late departures although cannot guarantee. Please contact us prior to arrival to enquire.
Pets – Pets are available in a limited number of guest rooms. Please note that an additional charge of £30 per booking will apply. Pets are not permitted in hotel dining areas.
Damage – The hotel reserves the right to charge any individuals causing deliberate, accidental or reckless damage to the hotel’s property or structure. If such damage is discovered during the stay it will be drawn to the guests attention but if discovered after guests have departed then we have the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit/debit card, or send an invoice for payment to the registered booker’s address.
