Accommodation
The main house was built as a Cumberland Longhouse and dates from about 1750; our dining room, lounges and bar retain and reflect this heritage. Our style is more akin to a quality alpine pension or catered chalet than that of a modern boutique hotel.
English breakfasts and hearty home cooked dinners sustain even the most energetic of guests. We take great care to create varied and appealing meals. Whilst there is not normally a choice, we happily cater for vegetarians and others with special diets, providing alternatives where required. Please discuss your specific needs with us. Packed lunches and flasks are also available.
In the main hotel there are eight en suite rooms each with individual charm. These are a mix of double, twin and family rooms. There are also two single rooms; each with a private bathroom directly opposite.
Across the old farmyard our converted barn provides a riverside annexe with an additional four spacious rooms, again all en suite. In the adjacent building we also offer, for longer lets, a small apartment - "Beck Bank Barn."
