The Royal Oak welcomes friendly dogs!

 Although Collies are our most frequent visitors, we've also welcomed everything from West Highland Terriers to Irish Wolf Hounds. Provided your dog is socialised, clean and well behaved you are most welcome to bring your best friend. Dogs are allowed throughout the hotel, including your room, bar and lounge. We do not allow dogs in our dining room.

Many dog friendly hotels in the lake district make a charge of £2 to £6 per dog per night - we do not! There are plenty of easily accessible walks within five minutes from the front door - we do ask that residents exercise their dogs off the premises.
